Winner of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Reporting

The Staff of The Arizona Republic and USA Today Network wrote and videoed amazingly informal things about the border between the United States and Mexico. After watching A 2,000-mile journey in the shadow of the border wall and reading We looked at every mile of the U.S.-Mexico border. Now you can, too – right here. you can really get and idea of what the border is like. The footage they got from above of the entire border is exceptional. It is really neat that on the page they made you can drag the helicopter icon to where ever you want on the border and it’ll show you that area. They really put a great amount of effort into getting all the footage and information. They really deserved to win the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Reporting.

College Scandal

Recently there was a big scandal involving many parents and their children. Some of these parents paid insane amounts of money just to get their kid accepted into a college. Some also had people change test scores so that their kid would be able to get in. There were even some parents who faked photos of their kids to get them into college sport teams. Some of the students hadn’t ever even been involved with the sport before. I find it ridiculous that people would do this, and it’s especially ridiculous for them to expect to not ever get caught. I really hope that this scandal puts an end to wealthier people getting priority when it comes to college acceptance. It is very unfair to the families that are less fortunate and don’t have that kind of money. It should not be based on money whether or not someone gets into college.
